Ricordea yuma is a species of collimorphs or more commonly known as mushroom corals. They tend to be more sensitive hence stable water parameters and a mature tank will be preferred. This mushroom has a black base and orange polyps throughout its, body. It's approximate size is 4-5 cm.
Ricordea yumas prefer medium to higher lighting (50-150 par).
We recommend mushrooms to be kept in a low flow area of the display tank. Mushrooms tend to become stress and not extend fully in more turbulent flow.
Ricordea yumas gain most of their energy from their zooxanthellae, hence supplemental feeding it not required. However, they can still be fed with small particulate foods which may yield a quicker growth rate.
This is a general guideline. Mushrooms are tolerable of higher nitrate and phosphate levels, a good guideline will be to target stable parameters as long as they are within a reasonable range.
