Ultra Bak is a nutrient solution for bacteria commonly found in a marine aquarium. After the addition of Ultra Bak bacteria will grow rapidly and thereby will convert unwanted nutrients like nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate into biomass. The bacteria will either be skimmed off or taken up by corals and filter feeders, thereby providing an additional source of natural food. Most corals can also directly utilize Ultra Bak as an energy source.
Growth rates of denitrifying bacteria are enhanced, making life rock and especially Zeolite filters even more effective in breaking down and removing unwanted nitrogen compounds. Ultra Bak reduces nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate; combined with Ultra Lith and Ultra Min S it provides a safe and easy method for maintaining extremely nutrient-depleted water and amazing colours in a reef tank.
Ultra Bak is suitable for aquaria with of without Zeolite filtration
Daily 2 - 5 ml per 1000 L / 250 gal. depending on nutrient concentration and livestock density. Please ask for advice!
Please do all changed in the aquarium slowly and carefully!
In older tanks with high nutrient concentrations please reduce the phosphate concentrations with Ultra Phos before using Ultra Bak. Reduce the dose of Ultra Bak by 75 % and increase the dose every two weeks by 10 %. Monitor your water parameters very carefully. In case there are slimey films on the glass and/or the rocks, the dose is too high.
Each package contains two Max stainless steel replacement scraper blade.
Stainless steel blades are for glass aquariums only.

Instructions for an easy & effective start with the Fauna Marin Zeo-Light-System:
In a few steps to a fantastic reef aquarium, great colors, and perfect growth
In the last years diverse zeolite filtration systems, e.g. our Fauna Marin Ultralith system, have established on the market. Today, these systems are very popular among reef keepers to maintain perfect growth and coloration of sensitive stony corals and soft corals. Despite the fact that zeolite filtration using various natural zeolite mixes has proven great effectiveness, it turned out over the years to also be a complex methodology which requires a high degree of monitoring and control.
However, our new Fauna Marin Zeo-Light-System now provides you a zeolite filtration system for excellent results in coral coloration and growth without the need of supplementing countless additives. The application of only a
few but very efficient products dosed each twice a week makes it possible to achieve perfect results. Based on the combination of the Ultralith system with our additional product series, the Fauna Marin Zeo-Light system is the groundwork for longterm maintenance of a reef aquarium and prevents your aquarium from developing the "old-tank-syndrome"
Dosing of the ZeoLight System:
1 kg per 1000 L (260 US gal lqd) using a constant but light flow-through,
cleaning every 2 days, replace 75% of the zeolite every 4 weeks.
Reef Vitality Caps:
add 1 capsule per 500 Liter (126 US gal lqd) every 4 days, alternately to Color Clements.
Ultra Carb L:
add 500 g per 1000 Liter (260 US gal lqd) to a flow-through filter unit applying 200 L/h.
2 mL per 100 L(26 US gal lqd) every 4 days, alternately to ReefVitality.
Start dosage with 0,5 mL/100 L(26 US gal lqd) for the first 3 weeks.
All 3 color elements can be dosed simultaneously. In regard to the desired color development the individual dosages should be modified.
Maximum dosage: 5 mL per 100 Liter(26 US gal lqd) every 4 days.
Ultramin S coral food and bacteria nutrition:
Dosage 1–3 mL per 1000 L(260 US gal lqd) every 2 days.
if needed, set the potassium concentration to 400 mg/L (ppm)
In case of extremely low nutrient levels, i.e. in coral breeding facilities, the nutrient level can precisely be adjusted by using UltraOrganic and UltraAmin.
Power Phos is a new wet Iron-hydroxide based adsorber which safely removes silicates and phosphates from the aquarium. The pollutants are bound to the surface of Power-Phos and will not be released again. Power-Phos can maintain very low nutrient concentrations in your tank. Unwanted Algae growth will be stopped and corals will show their natural colours. ***NEW FORMULA***
Instructions and Dosing recommendation:
Please do all changes in the aquarium carefully and slowly.
Start with 100 ml per 300 L of water.
After 5 days the dose can be increased up to 150 ml per 300 L of water.
Never use more than 200 ml for 300 L of water.
To obtain best results and maximize adsorbtion efficiency, place the material between two layers of filter wool or use a fluidized-bed-reactor.
Check phosphate concentration regularly with reliable test kits, e.g. from Salifert, Macherey & Nagel, or Merck / Rowa.
Do NOT use PowerPhos in tanks that already have very low phosphate concentrations.
If phosphate concentrations start to increase again, exchange PowerPhos for fresh material.
Power Phos is suitable for fresh and seawater. The material can warm up when getting wet for the first time.
The red colouration of the water is caused by the fine dust attached to the adsorber. It is not harmful and vanishes quickly.
Do NOT rinse the adsorber before use.
Keep away from children.
Not to be used for animals used for food production.
Do not inhale, do not swallow.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

NitraPhos Minus is a unique formula that aims to biologically remove nitrate, nitrite and phosphate from the aquarium. It activates the metabolism in various types of bacteria, which are responsible for the management and removal of excess nutrients. Thanks to the special composition of multiple forms of organic carbon, amino acids and vitamins, all biochemical changes occur without any issues and bacteria easily absorb compounds to convert them into biomass. That biomass becomes a valuable food for corals while the excess and residues of it are removed from water by filter or skimmer. NitraPhos Minus improves the overall condition of corals, provides better colouration and promotes their growth. Due to maintaining the biological balance in the tank it prevents the formation of undesirable green algae and the development of cyanobacteria.
What’s great about this product:
Effectively removes excess nitrate & phosphate
Brings chemical balance
Quickly reduces undesired algae
Boosts coral coloration & growth
It is recommended to start NitraPhos Minus at half of the recommended dose. It is recommended to monitor the concentration of NO3 and PO4 once or twice a week. The recommended daily dosage is shown below:
Good to know:
Low nitrate and phosphate impose rich corals supplementation
Inefficient filtration may be the reason for high nitrate & phosphate
Too much food or supplements may also be the cause of too high nitrate and phosphate levels
A violent drop of nitrate and phosphate levels can destroy zooxanthellae and lead to corals death
NitraPhos Minus was designed to quickly remove from the high levels of nitrate and phosphate. You can use it together with Pro Bio S. -NP Pro is a nourishment for bacteria and there’s no need to use it while dosing NitraPhos Minus

All-natural anti-bacterial fish remedy for the treatment of sick fish
All-Natural, botanical extract remedy for the treatment of a broad spectrum of bacterial infections in marine fish.
Treats open sores, ulcerations, body slime, redness in fins and body, cloudy eyes and tail and fin rot.
Rapidly promotes the regrowth of damaged skin tissue and fin and tail loss due to disease and stress.
Stimulates fish’s immune system to prevent disease and help fight off existing infections.
Safe for all marine fish (including sharks, rays, seahorses, and eels) and marine invertebrates including delicate corals, clams, anemones, and shrimp.
Will not adversely affect the biological filter as seen with traditional antibiotic usage.
Does not alter water parameters.
The outbreak of disease within the marine aquarium can result in major fish losses if left untreated. Disease typically occurs when a fish’s immune system becomes weakened due to stress – poor water quality, poor diet, sudden changes in environment, along with injury due to shipping or fighting are sources of stress. Bacterial infections are one of the commonly encountered diseases of marine fish. Pathogenic bacteria attack the skin tissue of marine fish, quickly reproduce, and left untreated will lead to fish loss.
Bacterial infections will typically present themselves as visible ulcers, open sores, cloudy or protruding eyes, tail and fin rot, mouth fungus, and redness within the fins, tail, and body of the fish. Conventionally, antibiotics have been used to treat these infections. Over time, the bacteria species have developed natural immunity to the antibiotics used to treat the infections generating poor treatment results and increased fish loss. Brightwell Aquatics Fish Recover M is an All-Natural, botanical extract not an antibiotic.
Not only will Fish Recover M attack and eliminate the bacterial infection but it will also aid in the regrowth of skin tissue lost due to the disease. Early diagnosis is key followed by immediate treatment to minimize fish loss. To further aid in improving fish health, add Brightwell Aquatics Vitamarin-C, a concentrated Vitamin C supplement for all marine fish and reef aquaria. Vitamin-C is well known as a natural immune stimulator.
Instructions & Guidelines
Shake product well before using. For best results, add product to an area of strong water flow to efficiently disperse throughout the aquarium. For Disease Treatment: Add 5 ml (1 capful on 500 ml bottle) of Fish Recover M per every 10 gallons of aquarium water. Add daily at the recommended dosage for a total of 7 days to effectively eliminate the disease.
For optimal results, remove activated carbon, chemical filtration resins, and discontinue protein skimming during treatment protocol as they will remove the active ingredients. It is common to see excess foaming within the protein skimmer following treatment. Empty the skimmer collection cup as necessary or dial down to allow normal skimming to resume. This should be eliminated within 48 hours after final treatment. A 20% water change is recommended after the 7-day treatment cycle. Subsequent dosing can be implemented if disease signs remain after initial treatment cycle.
Prophylactic use: Add 1 capful 5 mL (1 capful on 500 ml bottle) of Fish Recover M for every 10 gallons of aquarium water for 3 days any time new fish are added to your aquarium. This prophylactic dose will aid the prevention of disease outbreaks.
Brightwell Aquatics Fish Recover M is designed to be used directly in the aquarium or quarantine system.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. If in eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes. If irritation continues, seek medical attention. If ingested, contact a poison control center. Not for human consumption or use on fish or invertebrates for human consumption!
All-natural coral frag dip for recovery of live coral frags and regeneration of cut coral tissue
All-Natural, herbal frag dip to accelerate coral recovery and growth after fragging.
Helps prevent disease transfer into the aquarium.
Reduces coral stress following fragging.
Stimulates regrowth of coral tissue that is needed due to fragment cutting.
Safe for all coral varieties, soft, LPS and SPS.
Effective prophylactic treatment prior to adding frags into the aquarium.
Over the past several decades, there has been a tremendous increase in reports of coral disease affecting wild reefs. These same coral diseases can also have a negative impact on the home reef aquarium systems and the corals that are kept. Coral diseases can rapidly lead to significant losses of coral specimens in the reef aquarium. These diseases can affect a wide range of corals including Small polyp stony corals (SPS), Large polyp stony corals (LPS) along with soft coral. Less than optimal water quality, poor lighting, coral warfare, along with tissue damage due to handling and/or injury occurring in the aquarium can lead to sudden outbreaks of coral disease.
These diseases may have a sudden impact, with specimen loss almost overnight, or may slowly progress over time. Ultimately, the presence of a coral disease in the reef aquarium will lead to coral specimen loss. It is vital that disease identification takes place, treatment implemented, and the root cause of the outbreak eliminated to prevent additional infections and spreading to other coral specimens within the aquarium.
Brightwell Aquatics Frag Recover is an All-Natural, coral dip that will not only treat the affected coral but will help stimulate regrowth of lost coral tissue caused by the disease infection.
Caution: Prior to fragging, research the proper fragmentation procedures for the specific coral specimens to be cut, to insure optimal success and overall safety. Wear eye goggles, and rubber gloves because some marine invertebrates can squirt toxic bodily fluids into your face when cut. The fragmentation of corals has become a common practice within the hobby of marine reef keeping. Fragging, as it is commonly called, is simply cutting off a small portion of a parent coral colony and creating additional specimens – frags. This practice allows reef hobbyists to attain desirable coral specimens at a fraction of the cost or to share with other hobbyists while reducing impact on natural reef systems. Fragmenting corals is generally a safe process for the corals but still creates some level of stress on both the parent colony and the newly fragmented piece. The exposed areas, at the cutting site, are more susceptible to infections and overall stress. Regrowth of coral tissue over the newly exposed area is key to the coral frag recovery. Brightwell Aquatics Frag Recover will support the recovery process by aiding in the regrowth of tissue over the exposed, cut areas on both the parent colony and the frag. This will also limit exposure to infection and/or infestation by coral predators and make the fragging process more successful.
Instructions & Guidelines
Shake product well before using. To prepare the Frag Recover coral frag dip solution, add 20 mL (4 capfuls ) of Frag Recover to 1/2 gallon (1.9 L) of aquarium water. Stir solution to evenly disperse product. Make enough solution to cover corals. After the selected coral has been cut, place the fragged piece along with the parent colony into the prepared Frag Recover frag dip solution for 5 minutes (use a timer). It is recommended that the solution be gently forced over the cut areas by (gently) squirting prepared solution with a turkey baster over the targeted areas. After the dip has completed, place the parent colony back into the aquarium. The new coral frag should now be glued or bonded to a solid surface to maximize grow out potential and prevent turning over. Attach the new coral frag to Brightwell Aquatics HexiDiscs (ideal surface area for frag growth) using a reef-safe glue or epoxy as directed. The new coral frag can now be added to the grow-out system (assuming like conditions of the main aquarium) or the main aquarium itself. It will be common for both parent colony and the new coral frag to exhibit diminished polyp extension until they are re-adjusted to the aquarium. To prevent an outbreak of coral disease in the aquarium after fragmentation or treat any visibile coral infections in the aquarium, also use Brightwell Aquatics Koral Recover directly in the aquarium as directed. (Because Frag Recover is only designed to be used as a dip outside the aquarium).
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption. If ingested, contact a poison control center. Not for use on fish or invertebrates for human consumption!

Brightwell Aquatics Koral Recover is an All-Natural, coral remedy that will not only treat the affected coral but will help stimulate regrowth of lost coral tissue caused by the disease infection. It is important that the entire aquarium be treated as the disease can continue to affect additional specimens in the aquarium. To help prevent initial outbreaks, it is recommended that corals or frags be pre-treated with Brightwell Aquatics Koral MD dip to prevent damaging hitchhikers from entering the aquarium or MediCoral dip or Frag Recover Dip to prevent bacterial transfer prior to introduction to the main aquarium. This will prepare new corals for their introduction to the display reef aquarium and minimize coral stress and potential disease outbreaks.
Instructions & Guidelines
Shake product well before using. Add 5 mL (1 capful on 500 ml bottle) of Koral Recover daily for every 10 gallons (38 L) of aquarium water. Continue to treat (5 mL per 10 gallons) for 7 consecutive days to effectively treat the coral infection. Perform a 25% water change after the 7-day treatment protocol. If symptoms remain evident after initial treatment, an additional treatment cycle can be implemented. It is recommended that the product be added to an area of the aquarium with strong water flow to evenly disperse the product. You may notice temporary coral polyp retraction when the product is initially added as corals are highly sensitive to any sudden changes to their immediate habitat. It is important that chemical filtration (carbon and resins) be removed prior to dosing as the media will remove the active ingredients and render it less effective. Koral Recover may also create excess foaming within the protein skimmer used in the aquarium. It is recommended that the skimmer be adjusted until the excess foaming is minimized.
Prophylactic use: Add 5 mL (1 capful) of Koral Recover for every 10 gallons (38 L) of aquarium water daily for 3 days when adding new corals. Brightwell Aquatics Koral Recover is designed to treat corals directly in the aquarium. Koral Recover will not only treat the specimens in question but also aid in preventing the spread to additional coral specimens. Once corals have been damaged, they need proper nutritional support to fully recover. It is recommended that you consider simultaneously using Brightwell Strontion to raise strontium levels and Brightwell Restor to provide proper readily available amino acids to increase coral tissue growth rates and encourage healing.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption. If ingested, contact a poison control center. Not for use on fish or invertebrates for human consumption!
