Immediately neutralizes chloramines, chlorine, ammonia, and nitrite in ponds and water gardens
Overview
- Neutralizes chloramines, chlorine, ammonia, and nitrite present in tap water and/or pond water.
- Neutralizes iodine.
- Safe for use with all pond fishes, plants, and invertebrates.
Instructions and Guidelines
Shake container well before first usage, and/or if container has sat stationary for longer than 6-months. Store indoors, above 50° F.
To Treat Tap Water: Add 1 capful (5 ml) per 50 US-gallons of tap water to remove chloramines and ammonia; at this strength, FlorinErase will treat up to 6 ppm chlorine, 3 ppm chloramines, or 1 ppm ammonia.
To Treat Pond Water: Determine ammonia concentration in pond using an accurate ammonia test kit with ammonia salicylate reagent (see comments below). With pumps running, add 1 capful (5 ml) per 50 US-gallons of water in system per 1 ppm of ammonia measured on test kit. Allow 30-minutes to pass, then re-test ammonia concentration in pond and repeat treatment instructions if necessary.
Testing for Ammonia: When using FlorinErase, be sure to measure ammonia with a test kit utilizing ammonia salicylate reagent rather than Nessler’s reagent; Nessler’s reagent will give an incorrect positive reading of ammonia due to incompatibility with the active components of FlorinErase.
