Advanced Clarifier for All Marine Fish and Reef Aquaria
Flocculant for improving water clarity in marine aquaria; helps eliminate cloudy water.
Binds particulate material suspended in aquarium water, enabling removal from the
system by means of mechanical filtration and protein skimming.
Specifically formulated for use in marine aquaria; not to be used in freshwater aquaria.
Safe for use with all manner of marine invertebrates, fishes, and macroalgae.
Poor water clarity can be caused by a number of types of suspended particulate material, which may themselves be caused by excessive nutrient concentrations, digging/burrowing/feeding activities of fishes and/or motile invertebrates, excessive water flow directed at fine-particulate sediment, etc. Clarifī-SW clears cloudy water by utilizing the weak electrical charges of water-borne particles as a means of binding them; the resultant relatively-large (and heavy) particles are then: trapped by mechanical filtration, exported by protein skimming, and/or fall out of the water column onto the aquarium bottom, where they can be siphoned out of the system, if desired, by the aquarist. Clarifī-SW is a useful tool to immediately improve clarity in aquaria on public display.
While Clarifī-SW offers a rapid solution to water cloudiness, it should not be seen as an alternative to long-term proper and sensible aquarium husbandry. If conditions within the aquarium system encourage chronic events of water cloudiness, then it will become necessary to determine, and subsequently address, the cause(s). Oftentimes, the use of an effective and well-maintained protein skimmer will help control water cloudiness; additionally, feeding aquarium inhabitants sensibly, limiting the use of organic-based supplements and additives, use of a high-quality synthetic aquarium salt blend, regular testing of important water parameters with accurate kits and/or meters, and performing water changes/replacing evaporation with purified water are all important aspects of marine aquarium husbandry.
Instructions and Guidelines
Do not use in freshwater aquaria; instead, use Clarifī-FW. Extensive research in our facility has revealed that maximum performance in freshwater and saltwater aquaria is achieved with different active ingredients rather than with one ingredient that is compatible in both types of aquaria. The active ingredients in Clarifī-SW are incompatible with freshwater aquaria.
Shake bottle prior to use. Do not "free pour" into aquarium, which may result in excessive, persistent cloudiness. Replace or rinse mechanical filtration material prior to use; when filtration media nears capacity (signified by a significant decrease in water flow through the exhaust of the power filter, or pooling of water above horizontally-situated filter pad material), replace or rinse it, and repeat as necessary. Skimmate production may change during the time that the flocculant is active in the system; check protein skimmer waste receptacle periodically after dosing of Clarifī-SW and empty receptacle as necessary.
Recommended dosage is ~1-ml of Clarifī-SW per 10 US-gallons (37.9 L). Dilute up to 10-ml of Clarifī-SW per 8 fl-oz. or 250-ml of purified water and stir to disperse; gradually pour the resultant solution into the aquarium in an area of rapid water flow. Allow at least 12-hours for flocculation process to complete; re-apply in 24-hours if necessary. Maximum recommended usage is twice per 5 day period.
Reoccurrence of cloudy water after Clarifī-SW has been employed to satisfactorily clarify water is an indication that issues referred to in Technical Background (opposite panel) may need to be addressed. The long-term successful care of aquaria relies upon the employment of sound husbandry principles. Clarifī-SW is not formulated to remedy water discoloration (e.g. "yellow" tint) caused by dissolved organic material; instead, employ activated carbon (e.g. Brightwell Aquatics Carbonīt-P) and/or macroadsorptive resin (e.g. Brightwell Aquatics OrganītR) for this purpose.
Caution: Do not use in freshwater aquaria. Keep out of reach of children. Not for human consumption.
The Fluval FX series stands for high-performance and reliability. Made in Italy, the FX4 canister filter is a compact counterpart of the FX6. FX4 is suitable for those upgrading from Fluval 406. Fluval FX4 is recommended for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums up to 1000 L (250 US Gal).
Easy to Use & Maintain
$19.30Kent Zoe is a superior vitamin complex for Marine Fish, Invertebrates, and desirable algae. (Zoe does not contain phosphates as most competing vitamin supplements do, and will not cause unsightly algae growth!) It contains aquaculture grade vitamins, meaning that they are still active after one year in your aquarium! It is unique because it also contains natural minerals from spirulina and kelp sources. Competing products are preserved with glycerin, which is an alcohol and requires 50% concentration to preserve. Zoe is properly preserved, using less than ½% preservatives, yet has a 4 year shelf life with no refrigeration. Just smell the difference!

GENTLY MIXES YOUR CALCIUM HYDROXIDE
Kalk Stirrer (Nilsen Reactor) carries a high torque, low RPM and low voltage motor, that not only gently mixes your calcium hydroxide (kalkwasser), it is also one of the quietest in the market.
This method is not only ideal but is also the safest way of introducing the freshest kalkwasser to a reef system. Our Kalk Stirrer is designed to keep the undissolved particles at the bottom of the reactor chamber while always leaving the clear, highly saturated kalkwasser liquid at the top. Adding kalk powder is easy with just a few twists of the large thumb screws releasing the seal-tight lid for quick and easy refills.
NO NEED FOR PESKY POWERHEADS
With the built in Power Head, matched to the exact specification of our Kalkwasser Reactor, there is no need for frequent cleaning, and no more risky dosing with large vats of lime water which take up valuable space. There is no need for premixing or worry about clogging when using our innovative and efficient Kalk Stirrer (Nilsen Reactor) which are extremely easy to use and salt-water safe, making them simply the most economical and best kalk reactor in the market.
* Please do not run the Kalk Stirrer unit continuously.
For tanks up to 400L, maximum flow rate 880L/H, maximum head height 0.8m.

Our Bio Churn reactors are for those that demand the ultimate control over your Bio pellets solid carbon dosing. The superior “Churn” Style” design easily fluidizes large amounts of bio pellet media without blasting it with outrageous flow just to fluidize the media, which is a commonly found on other Bio Pellet reactors in the market today.
The unique motion these innovative reactors produce allow for much greater suspension of the media in a cyclone “churn” style motion created with our patent pending churn plate. Equipped with our very own Aquatrance recirculation pumps which features independent flow valves, so the user can independently control the flow of media within the reactor.
Our Bio Churn Reactors come in four Series including the in-sump, External/Recirculating and the Commercial line. For the ultimate control of PO4 & NO3 look no further than the Bio Churn.
