Proper pH 7.5 is a pH adjuster and stabilizer (buffer) for freshwater aquariums. Proper pH 7.5 neutralizes chlorine, detoxifies heavy metals, and adds electrolytes to the aquarium. The product also contains Aloe Vera, a proven natural stress reducer and healing agent for tropical fish. A pH of 7.5 is ideal for keeping goldfish, mollies, guppies, barbs and other fish that prefer a slightly alkaline pH.
Proper pH 7.5 is formulated to lock the pH at 7.5. Buffers compensate for fluctuations in pH, automatically adjusting the pH to the predetermined level. Proper pH 7.5 will lower or raise the pH until 7.5 is reached. pH will not rebound to the original level. It may require more than one dose to adjust the pH. This is because carbonates (KH) in the water work against pH adjustment.
Directions For Use:
Proper pH 7.5 is for freshwater aquariums only. Proper pH 7.5 is a phosphate buffer and should not be used with live aquatic plants. If the aquarium water has a general hardness (GH) level above 200 ppm a haze can form in the water. This haze is the precipitation of some of the mineral salts. It is non-toxic and will be filtered out by most aquarium filters. This haze can be avoided by first softening aquarium water with API’s Water Softener Pillow.
Use the Water Softener Pillow to reduce water hardness, thus preventing mineral haze and permitting easy pH adjustments to 7.0. Use API’s GH Test Kit to measure water hardness.
Tunze Co2 Pressure Reducer 7077/3
Precision device with fine adjustment for standard CO2 cylinders, thread in keeping with German standard DIN 477 (US version with CGA 320 thread). To be mounted without tools; precise adjustment; two pressure gauges; pressure-relief valve. Made in Germany.
Dennerle CO2 Night Cut-off Valve Comfort
For magnificent plant growth, DENNERLE recommends a CO2 content in the aquarium of approx. 20 mg/l.
As certain correlations apply between CO2 content, carbonate hardness (CH) and pH value, the CO2 content in the water can be calculated according to a simple procedure:
Measure the carbonate hardness of your aquarium water.
Read the pH value which corresponds to the desired CO2 content from the table. You should set this pH value +/- 0.1 by adjusting the number of bubbles accordingly. Example: Carbonate hardness 4 °d, recommended pH 6.8 +/- 0.1.
The procedure is even simpler with the DENNERLE CO2 long-term test Correct + pH.
$18.00Dymax Base Soil series decreases the hardness of the water and lower the pH level to the degree at which most aquatic plants can consume nutrients and comfortably grow. The soil granules maintain the shape and density underwater security good circulation of water oxygen through the substrate. With Dymax Base Soil, growing difficult plants become easier and it is ideal for fishes demanding soft water.
