410nm/420nm Super Actinic
The Razor Lighting system also utilizes the 410nm/420nm Super Actinic LED chips: the spectrum that is crucial for the success of any reef and water plant aquariums. It is required by Chlorophyll A for photosynthesis, where absorption peaks at 412nm.
The Razor Lighting system is designed to be 100% cooled passively. The body of the Razor is crafted entirely in aluminum, serving as a large heat sink. Together with an ingenious aerodynamic design, cool air is channeled through the bottom of the fixture and heat is dissipated through the aluminum chassis. Pre-installed and temperature-controlled fans that turns on only when the temperature rises past 120F.

Tunze DOC Skimmer 9404 compact
The trend within the nano aquaristics area is continuing. This type of tank is already often being offered with cabinet technology. If the question of the skimmer is addressed, you will find a multitude of models which are often too big, too expensive, or too inefficiently dimensioned. Thanks to the experience we’ve been able to gain in the field of motorized skimmers since 1963, we were able to develop the successful Comline®DOC Skimmer 9004 four years ago. The unit is highly compact with minimum space requirements, and it can operate efficiently in nano aquariums with up to 250 liters (66 USgal.). This model can also be used in cabinet filters with a variable level from 80 to 250 mm (3.1 to 9.8 in.) thanks to the specially designed container 9004.500. It is able to compensate water level fluctuations without the need for a constant adjustment, it contains a durable controllable Comline® pump and a post filter just like any DOC Skimmer cabinet. The Comline® DOC skimmer 9004 can function optimally in this 9004.500 container just like in any customized aquarium. Therefore, it offers the benefits of our larger models such as the easily removable cup, the Anti Over-foaming System and the Flash Skimming feature. The DOC Skimmer 9404 compact is very easy to install, features silicone feet for a completely silent operation and can be easily positioned in every nano cabinet filter.
Removable post filter enables a perfect added mechanical filtration down to 300 µm using nylon fibers with only a minor biological action. This ensures that no unwanted nutrient and nitrate deposits can develop in case of longer cleaning intervals. The filter can be filled with other filter media, such as activated carbon or phosphate absorbers.

In 2002 TUNZE® presented a propeller-equipped circulation pump, and through this coined the name for a type of pump: The Turbelle® stream. Since then, TUNZE® has accomplished major developments in this area. The Turbelle® stream 3 is a completely new kind of circulation pump for small and large aquariums. With its innovative design, it can integrate almost invisibly into every aquarium. Thanks to the new magnetic-bearing pump drive, its superior feature lies in the completely silent operation - even at higher power levels. With a consumption of just 3.5 to 50 W, its performance can be set between 2,500 (660 USgal./h) to 15,000 l/h (3,962 USgal./h). It is delivered with the Turbelle® controller and a 5 m cable to the pump. The silence Magnet Holder ensures a fixation on every point of the aquarium glass pane up to a glass thickness of 15 mm (2/3"). The new 0.8 Hz FishCare function prevents injuries to fish or other living animals. Every 24 hours, the pump automatically performs an 8-second backflushing operation with a capacity of 30%. The glass thickness can be expanded up to 19 mm (3/4 in.) for larger aquariums (accessory).
Microsorum pteropus ‘Trident’ is found attached to roots and rocks in streams and rivers, along riverbanks, and in marshes. Rhizome should be anchored to wood or stone. If planted in substrate, ensure rhizome is never buried, to avoid rot. Leaves grow 6-12 inches dependent on available nutrient. Thrives with regular fertilization. Black areas on leaves are sporangia, reproductive organs, not necessarily symptom of deficiency. Transparent areas on leaves are a result of too much light. Medium light is sufficient for optimal growth, excellent growth in diffused light. Water circulation / current is essential to optimal growth.
Java fern reproduces by adventitious plants at tips of leaves. After plantlets develop several leaves and roots, they can be separated and propagated. Propagation also possible by cutting rhizome, ensure that leaves and roots attached to each section. Capable of emersed growth in humid conditions, rhizome must remain in water and leaves require sufficient moisture in air. This plant is not eaten by herbivorous fish.
