Clove polyps can tolerate a wide range of lighting, however it will be ideal to start with low to medium light initially, allowing the coral to acclimatise to more intense lighting overtime.
- Water Flow
Moderate to high water movement is recommended., the flow prevents detritus from settling on them which they will benefit from.
Clove polyps derive most of their energy from their zooxanthellae, however they are capable of being fed. Due to their small structure, smaller foods such as phytoplankton or liquid foods can be used.
- Water Parameters
This is a general guideline. Clove polyps are tolerable of higher nitrate and phosphate levels, a good guideline will be to target stable parameters as long as they are within a reasonable range.
