Lobophyllia are not light demanding and do not usually require intense lighting, however their colours do change with different intensities and spectrums.
- Water Flow
Low or moderate indirect water flow is recommended, high flow tends to inhibit the coral from opening up fully.
Lobophyllia derive most of their energy from their zooxanthellae, however they are capable of being fed and will benefit from it, often showing better colouration and polyp extension. They are able to take large meaty foods such as mysis and commercial coral foods.
- Water Parameters
This is a general guideline. Lobophyllia are tolerable of higher nitrate and phosphate levels. It is ideal to keep all these parameters within range as they will change with time, due to lobophyllia being an LPS. A good guideline will be to target stable parameters as long as they are within a reasonable range.
