The rhodactis mushroom is a coral that is hardy and easy to keep. They are forgiving when it comes to flow and lighting, being able to thrive in most conditions. This mushroom features a blue-green base with a orange-yellow streak surrounding its mouth. It's approximate size is 2 cm.
Mushrooms prefer low light (30-50 par) as they do not respond well to bright light, however they can still be acclimated to higher light conditions over time.
We recommend mushrooms to be kept in a low flow area of the display tank. Mushrooms tend to become stress and not extend fully in more turbulent flow.
Rhodactis mushrooms can be fed a variety of foods such as mysis shrimp or commercial coral feeds.
This is a general guideline. Mushrooms are tolerable of higher nitrate and phosphate levels, a good guideline will be to target stable parameters as long as they are within a reasonable range.
