Mini Majano Wand Aiptasia & Majano Eliminator
The Majano Wand takes a easy approach to removing Majano Anemones from your reef aquarium. It`s so fun and easy you will want Majano Anemones, just so you can destroy them!
The purpose of the Majano Wand is to eliminate Majano Anemones in hobbyist aquariums, as these Anemones are pests. Majano Anemones are pests because they harm fish and coral. Such “pest” Anemones that are inadvertently added to aquariums can multiply very quickly in closed aquarium system.
The Majano Wand does not kill by electrocution, there is never any electricity going into the water. The Majano Wand operates on the principal that when electricity is properly emitted into salt water it produces two gases. One of these gases is hydrogen, which is generated at the stainless steel tip. Hydrogen is the lightest element on earth, which converts into a gas when created, and the gas form of hydrogen is larger than the liquid size of salt water. When the probe of the Majano Wand touches the Majano tissue, it causes the water in the cells of the Majano to turn into hydrogen. These animals are mostly water so the Majano is forced to expand from the inside out at a rapid and drastic scale, which literally disintegrates any living Majano tissue instantly.
The Majano Wand operates on low voltage and will not shock you if your hand, or any part of your body, is in the water. However, care must be taken to ensure safety as the tip of the Majano Wand is sharp.
The entire Majano Wand (including the grey wire) can be submerged in water, but do not get the push button or power adapter wet.
We are proud to write that the Majano Wand was Invented, designed, tested and Manufactured in the USA!
**Please Note: If the user does not fully kill the aiptasia by eliminating all the tissue on the first attempt, the remaining bits will regrow into another aiptasia.
MetroPlex™ is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirius). It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. It can either be dosed into the water or combined with Focus™ in a medicated food mix. It will treat both internal and external infections regardless of the delivery method. When used in a medicated food mix, it is excellent for treating parasites in tanks that contain invertebrates. MetroPlex is gentle and there little danger of overdosing.
Remove all invertebrates - these are extremely sensitive to medication. Turn off UV filters, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration like MatrixCarbon™ and Purigen™. Use 1-2 measures (included) per every 40 L (10 US gallons). Repeat this dose every 48 hours for up to 3 weeks or until symptoms disappear.
Feed the medicated food mix (recipe below) every day until the infection clears or up to 3 weeks. This medicated food can be refrigerated or frozen between feedings.
To enhance palatability use with GarlicGuard™ or Entice™.
When the treatment period is over, MetroPlex™ can easily be removed using activated filter carbon like MatrixCarbon™. It does not linger in the substrate or filter media of the tank.
Active ingredients: metronidazole (70%)Inactive ingredients: excipients (30%)
Ichthyophthirius (freshwater) / Cryptocaryon (saltwater)Looks like salt sprinkled on the fish’s body and fins. Usually accompanied by twitching, flashing, and other signs of stress and irritation. Several parasites are grouped under this name, but the symptoms are almost identical. Ich is among the most common infections of fish, and is entirely treatable with diligence and attention to water quality.
Suggested Treatment Period:14-28 days
Special ConsiderationsIt is very important with this parasite to continue dosing for the full treatment period. A break in the medication allows the parasite to multiply and reinfect the fish.
Piscinoodinium (freshwater) / Amyloodinium (saltwater)Similar to Ich, but smaller and grey-gold. Most often seen in saltwater, but can occur in freshwater as well. Velvet is less common than Ich, but the treatment is almost identical.
Suggested Treatment Period:14-28 days
Special ConsiderationsVelvet is a photosynthetic parasite - it will help with treatment if you can turn off the lights while the fish are infected
SpironucleusSymptoms include a loss of color, erosion or lesions on the face, head, and body, and stringy white feces. This condition is often caused by an internal parasite, but factors like poor diet, poor water quality, and lack of trace elements will all contribute to this issue.
Suggested Treatment Period:14 days
Special ConsiderationsIn freshwater this condition is called Hole in the Head. Research your fish’s preferred diet and water chemistry to ensure they are being properly duplicated in the aquarium. Consider using a nutrient soak for the food to provide essential vitamins and nutrients to the fish.
Ich, velvet, and many other parasites spend a large portion of their life cycle as a cyst that is immune to medication and hiding in the substrate of your tank. Remember that you need to finish the full treatment even if you can’t see parasites on the fish any more!
Fight hairy or plague type algae with DINO X from Fauna Marin.
5 mL of DINO X for 26 gallons(100 L) - every 2 days
DO NOT OVERDOSE - measure liters or gallons exactly.
Dose every 2 days until the algae is gone but not more than 21 days at a time.
PROTOZIN - protozoacide
PROTOZIN is used for the control of all protozoan and fungal infections e.g Whitespot, Fungus, Neon Tetra Disease, Velvet, Costiasis and Trichodiniasis.
You will require 4 separate applications to complete the course of treatment. By adding the treatment on days 1, 2 and 3 the product safely compounds in strength and does not burden the already stressed animals with a hard hitting formula.
The final dose on day 6 is a preventative measure to try and ensure the organism does not re-occur. PROTOZIN's properties are highly effective at treating all its target organisms. Protozin is Waterlife's best selling disease treatment world wide.
Do not use when rays or momyrids are present.
Suitable for tropical freshwater and coldwater aquaria.
120ml (4 day course for 450 litres)
Tunze Nano Care Magnet 0220.006 Up to 6mm Glass Algae Scraper
With the Tunze Pico Care magnet there is a gap between the magnet and the glass wall being cleaned, this is to prevent gravel catching between the magnet and the glass and scratching the glass. The point that actually tough the glass is the two side blades on the inside of the tank and the soft felt pads on the outside of the glass attached to the magnet.
The magnet does a very good job of removing film build ups as well as algae and is a quick and easy way of cleaning the tank. The way that Tune have designed the Nano Care Magnet also allows cleaning very close to the edges of aquariums as well as being able to get down to the substrate.
The Tunze is a powerful magnet scraper to remove algae and build up on the inside glass of Aquariums. It will work with glass thickness of up to 6mm and has a plastic blade to scrape the algae and build up on the glass.
The "Care Magnet" is a breath of fresh air in the field of aquarium pane cleaner design, consisting of an ergonomic handle and special plastic blades made of wear-resistant high performance plastic. The patented slim Care Magnet is significantly more compact than conventional algae magnets with a large cleaning surface, it is unobtrusive and therefore able to remain within the aquarium without disrupting the overall scenery.
This window pane cleaner doesn't cause any scratches on internal aquarium panes, glass or acrylic. The inner magnet is more than 3mm away from the aquarium and thus prevents the jamming of the aquarium sand. The two plastic blades remove the algae considerably better from the glass panes than a flat cleaning surface - almost as good as a sharp metal blade. The life of a blade is from several months up to approx. one year. The low flow resistance during the cleaning with a simultaneous high magnetic coupling, makes a separation of the magnet nearly impossible.
