The outbreak of disease within the marine aquarium can result in major fish losses if left untreated. Disease typically occurs when a fish’s immune system becomes weakened due to stress – poor water quality, poor diet, sudden changes in environment, along with injury due to shipping or fighting are sources of stress. Bacterial infections are one of the commonly encountered diseases of marine fish. Pathogenic bacteria attack the skin tissue of marine fish, quickly reproduce, and left untreated will lead to fish loss.
Bacterial infections will typically present themselves as visible ulcers, open sores, cloudy or protruding eyes, tail and fin rot, mouth fungus, and redness within the fins, tail, and body of the fish. Conventionally, antibiotics have been used to treat these infections. Over time, the bacteria species have developed natural immunity to the antibiotics used to treat the infections generating poor treatment results and increased fish loss. Brightwell Aquatics Fish Recover M is an All-Natural, botanical extract not an antibiotic.
Not only will Fish Recover M attack and eliminate the bacterial infection but it will also aid in the regrowth of skin tissue lost due to the disease. Early diagnosis is key followed by immediate treatment to minimize fish loss. To further aid in improving fish health, add Brightwell Aquatics Vitamarin-C, a concentrated Vitamin C supplement for all marine fish and reef aquaria. Vitamin-C is well known as a natural immune stimulator.
Instructions & Guidelines
Shake product well before using. For best results, add product to an area of strong water flow to efficiently disperse throughout the aquarium. For Disease Treatment: Add 5 ml (1 capful on 500 ml bottle) of Fish Recover M per every 10 gallons of aquarium water. Add daily at the recommended dosage for a total of 7 days to effectively eliminate the disease.
For optimal results, remove activated carbon, chemical filtration resins, and discontinue protein skimming during treatment protocol as they will remove the active ingredients. It is common to see excess foaming within the protein skimmer following treatment. Empty the skimmer collection cup as necessary or dial down to allow normal skimming to resume. This should be eliminated within 48 hours after final treatment. A 20% water change is recommended after the 7-day treatment cycle. Subsequent dosing can be implemented if disease signs remain after initial treatment cycle.
Prophylactic use: Add 1 capful 5 mL (1 capful on 500 ml bottle) of Fish Recover M for every 10 gallons of aquarium water for 3 days any time new fish are added to your aquarium. This prophylactic dose will aid the prevention of disease outbreaks.

Over the past several decades, there has been a tremendous increase in reports of coral disease affecting wild reefs. These same coral diseases can also have a negative impact on the home reef aquarium systems and the corals that are kept. Coral diseases can rapidly lead to significant losses of coral specimens in the reef aquarium. These diseases can affect a wide range of corals including Small polyp stony corals (SPS), Large polyp stony corals (LPS) along with soft coral. Less than optimal water quality, poor lighting, coral warfare, along with tissue damage due to handling and/or injury occurring in the aquarium can lead to sudden outbreaks of coral disease.
These diseases may have a sudden impact, with specimen loss almost overnight, or may slowly progress over time. Ultimately, the presence of a coral disease in the reef aquarium will lead to coral specimen loss. It is vital that disease identification takes place, treatment implemented, and the root cause of the outbreak eliminated to prevent additional infections and spreading to other coral specimens within the aquarium.
Brightwell Aquatics Frag Recover is an All-Natural, coral dip that will not only treat the affected coral but will help stimulate regrowth of lost coral tissue caused by the disease infection.
Caution: Prior to fragging, research the proper fragmentation procedures for the specific coral specimens to be cut, to insure optimal success and overall safety. Wear eye goggles, and rubber gloves because some marine invertebrates can squirt toxic bodily fluids into your face when cut. The fragmentation of corals has become a common practice within the hobby of marine reef keeping. Fragging, as it is commonly called, is simply cutting off a small portion of a parent coral colony and creating additional specimens – frags. This practice allows reef hobbyists to attain desirable coral specimens at a fraction of the cost or to share with other hobbyists while reducing impact on natural reef systems. Fragmenting corals is generally a safe process for the corals but still creates some level of stress on both the parent colony and the newly fragmented piece. The exposed areas, at the cutting site, are more susceptible to infections and overall stress. Regrowth of coral tissue over the newly exposed area is key to the coral frag recovery. Brightwell Aquatics Frag Recover will support the recovery process by aiding in the regrowth of tissue over the exposed, cut areas on both the parent colony and the frag. This will also limit exposure to infection and/or infestation by coral predators and make the fragging process more successful.
Instructions & Guidelines
Shake product well before using. To prepare the Frag Recover coral frag dip solution, add 20 mL (4 capfuls ) of Frag Recover to 1/2 gallon (1.9 L) of aquarium water. Stir solution to evenly disperse product. Make enough solution to cover corals. After the selected coral has been cut, place the fragged piece along with the parent colony into the prepared Frag Recover frag dip solution for 5 minutes (use a timer). It is recommended that the solution be gently forced over the cut areas by (gently) squirting prepared solution with a turkey baster over the targeted areas. After the dip has completed, place the parent colony back into the aquarium. The new coral frag should now be glued or bonded to a solid surface to maximize grow out potential and prevent turning over. Attach the new coral frag to Brightwell Aquatics HexiDiscs (ideal surface area for frag growth) using a reef-safe glue or epoxy as directed. The new coral frag can now be added to the grow-out system (assuming like conditions of the main aquarium) or the main aquarium itself. It will be common for both parent colony and the new coral frag to exhibit diminished polyp extension until they are re-adjusted to the aquarium. To prevent an outbreak of coral disease in the aquarium after fragmentation or treat any visibile coral infections in the aquarium, also use Brightwell Aquatics Koral Recover directly in the aquarium as directed. (Because Frag Recover is only designed to be used as a dip outside the aquarium).

Cupramine™ effectively eradicates Oodinium, Cryptocaryon, Amyloodinium, Ichthyophthirius, and other ectoparasites of both freshwater and marine fish. It is superior to copper sulfate, chloride & citrate: it is non-acidic, less toxic to fish, remains in solution, and does not contaminate the filter bed. It is superior to chelates: it is fully charged (ionic), active at low concentrations, and is removable with carbon.
Why It's Different
There is more than a four-fold concentration gap between the minimal therapeutic dose (0.2 mg/L) and the toxic dose (0.8 mg/L). Cupramine™ is easily removable with chemical filtration. It is highly effective and safe in freshwater as well as marine water.
Types of Infection Treated
Remove all invertebrates. Turn off UV sterilizer; remove chemical filtration. If the bottle has a dropper cap, use 16 drops (1 mL) per 40 L (10.5 gallons*) the first day, wait 48 hours, then repeat. On non-dropper caps, each inner ring is 1 mL. In freshwater use half dose. Final copper concentration is 0.5 mg/L (0.25 mg/L in freshwater). Leave at this concentration for 14 days. Do not redose without testing. Do not use in conjunction with any other medication. If tank has ever been treated with an ionic copper (e.g. copper chloride, sulfate or citrate), test copper level after initial dosing. Although most fish tolerate Cupramine™ to 0.8 mg/L, it is not advisable to exceed 0.6 mg/L copper. Remove with carbon or CupriSorb™.
In case of eye exposure, promptly & thoroughly wash eyes with water & seek medical attention.

The AZ-NO3 (Absolute Zero - NitratesTM) product works entirely by aerobic Cellular Respiration on the target Nitrate molecule, which is then removed by the Protein Skimmer. The oxidoreductases necessary for these processes are the chemical mechanism of an enzyme action.
In the most simplest of explanations, AZ-NO3 can be considered an essential food, required by the active enzyme maltase that functions as a cellular respirator. The manufacturing process renders this product as an undesirable food to certain detrimental enzyme (amylase and invertase) that could uncontrollably proliferate in the aquarium.
Our product utilizes a specific enzyme in the maltase group to activate the oxidoreductases necessary to reduce nitrates by cellular respiration in the aquarium. The product itself does not contain this enzyme, but can be thought of more like a seed, a seed contains the germ (plant) and the food for the plant to grow. The mature plant then becomes the basic food product utilized.
The active ingredient in our product is Cozymase which functions in the oxidation of proteins and of many other compounds important in the intermediary metabolism and the resulting active enzyme Maltase in the aquarium. The Massecuite is food for both the Cozymase to develop and the resultant Maltase to thrive.
The proper denitrifying dosage of the product is 1/4 ounce, daily, for each 50 to 60 gallons of water in the marine aquarium system, until nitrates are undetectable. Overdosing, (up to double the amount) is preferred to underdosing and is not harmful to livestock. Larger aquariums will require a larger dose, but nitrates are normally reduced to zero within the same time period. Many aquarists inadvertently introduce nitrates on a continuing basis, through water changes, food, additives, etc., therefore requiring that they maintain the enzyme activity at a low maintenance dosage to hold nitrates in check. Initially the maintenance dosage should be 1/2 of the denitrifying dosage, steadily decreasing the amount of AZ-NO3 used until nitrates can be maintained at an undetectable level. The intent is to slowly wean the aquarium off the AZ-NO3 product entirely, allowing the natural denitrification properties of the aquariums live rock and/or plenum to come into full functioning. The maintenance dosage can be rescheduled for bi-weekly or even weekly additions as the live rock or substrate develops to it`s full potential.
Effects AZ-NO3 provides many other benefits besides nitrate reduction. Upon addition of the product to the aquarium, you will notice that the Protein Skimmer becomes more efficient and remains that way for approximately 30 days after the final use of the AZ-NO3. In addition, as the enzymes become active, all sediments and pre-filters in the aquarium remove larger amounts of undesirable organics, thus requiring more frequent filter changing.
